Apartment Building Fire Displaces Residents

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Corner Brook Region is investigating a fire which occurred at an apartment building on the west side of the city.
On July 24, 2015 at approximately 9:00 pm, RNC officers from Patrol Services and the Forensics Identification Section along with the Corner Brook Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment complex on Beothuk Crescent. Two female residents, ages 16 and 41, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Western Memorial Regional Hospital by paramedics from Western Health and Reliable Ambulance.
The building was evacuated and displaced residents were provided emergency lodging with assistance from the Canadian Red Cross. The scene will be secured overnight and an RNC Fire Investigator will continue the investigation in the morning.
