Broadway Fire Deemed Suspicious

CB City Hall 3The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred at a commercial building on Broadway.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers from RNC Patrol Services and the Forensic Identification Section along with members of the Corner Brook Fire Department responded to s structure fire at a commercial property located on Broadway in the downtown area of the city. The building was vacant at the time of the fire and has been unoccupied for some time. The cause of the fire has been determined to be suspicious in nature and the building sustained moderate smoke and water damage as a result.

The building in question is the site of the old Studio nightclub, which was damaged by fire several years ago.
