Corner Brook RNC respond to multiple collisions

At 9:30 a.m. RNC Patrol Services received a complaint of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of O’Connell Drive and Walbourne’s Road. Both vehicles sustained moderate damages and no injuries were reported.
Later at 12:35 p.m. RNC Patrol Services, with the assistance from the Corner Brook Fire Department, responded to a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Philip Drive and Elizabeth Street. All three vehicles sustained extensive damages. There were no injuries reported during the collision.
At 2:40 p.m. RNC Patrol Services, with the assistance from Western Health paramedics, responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Broadway near the Valley Mall intersection near Sobey’s. It was reported that a female had been crossing on a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, a 33 year old female, was conveyed to Western Memorial Regional Hospital with what is believed to be minor, non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 22 year old male resident of Corner Brook, NL was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Failing to Yield of Right of Way for Pedestrian in Crosswalk. He was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for the incident.
