Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Patrol Services responded to 28 calls for service during the 24 hr period ending at 4:00 am today.
On November 15, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. RNC Patrol Services, with the assistance from the Corner Brook Fire Department, responded to a two vehicle collision on Country Road. No injuries were reported to police during the incident. One of the vehicles involved sustained extensive damages and was towed from the scene.
On November 15, 2014 at 6:15 p.m. RNC Patrol Services, with the assistance from the Corner Brook Fire Department, responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of the Lewin Parkway and Maple Valley Road. There were no injuries reported during this incident. Both vehicles sustained extensive damages and both vehicles were towed from the scene. Road conditions were slippery and ice covered at the time of incident.
On November 16th at approximately 3:05 am Patrol Services officers responded to a disturbance in a residence on Hand Crescent. As a result of the police response to this incident a 31 yr old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested for two counts of Common Assault and Uttering Threats. The victims were two female residents of Corner Brook. The victims and the accused were known to each other. The victims sustained minor injury during the assault. Alcohol appears to be a factor in this incident.
