RNC CORNER BROOK 24 HOUR MEDIA REPORT – NOVEMBER 26

rncmr The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook received 27 calls for service for the 24 hour period ending on November 26, 2014 at 4 a.m.

 

 

 

 

On November 25, 2014 at approximately 8:50 a.m. RNC Patrol Services received a complaint of theft. It was reported at a  male was observed stealing merchandise from a from in the area of Murphy Square. The accused , a 37 year old male resident of Stephenville, NL was located on Confederation Drive near Forest Hill Road and arrested without incident. He was later released and will appear in court on January 2015. All stolen item  were recovered by police. He has been charged with Theft under $5000.

On November 26, 2014 at 1:30 a.m. a patrol officer of RNC Patrol Services was patrolling in the area of Mount Bernard Avenue when an audible alarm was heard sounding. The sound of the alarm was found emitting from an unlocked vehicle parked in the City Chrysler parking lot on O’ Connell Drive. Police found the door open to this vehicle. A search of the area resulted in locating a male youth in possession of items stolen from the unlocked vehicle. As a result, the property was recovered and the youth, a 15 year old male resident of Corner Brook, NL was arrested and charged with Theft under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breach of Undertaking. He was later released to his parents and will appear in Youth Court in January 2015. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
