RNC CORNER BROOK 24 HOUR REPORT – SEPTEMBER 24

rncThe Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook received 21 calls for service for the 24 hour period ending on September 24, 2014 at 4 a.m.

On SeptemberĀ  23, 2014 at approximately 10:30 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint of an intoxicated female inside the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. As a result of an investigation, it was determined that the female was on a court order with a condition to abstain from the use of alcohol. Due to the female’s high level of intoxication, she was detained at the Corner Brook Detention Centre to be released when sober. In an unrelated matter, she was under investigation for failing to appearĀ  at RNC Headquarters on June 25, 2014 for fingerprinting under the Identification of Criminals Act. She has been charged with Fail to Appear and four counts of Breach of Probation and will appear in Provincial Court, Corner Brook on November 4, 2014.

On May 8, 2014 RNC Patrol Services received a complaint of a fraud allegation that occurred at a business in Corner Brook, NL on May 6, 2014. As a result of an investigation, a 20 year old male resident of Corner Brook was charged with one count of Forgery, one count of Uttering a Forged Document and one count of Fraud. He will appear in Provincial Court, Corner Brook in November 2014.

On September 24, 2014 at approximately 2:50 a.m. a 21 year old male resident was located on Broadway, charged and released for Failure to Appear for fingerprinting under the Identification of Criminals Act. On September 2, 2014, it is alleged that the accused failed to appear at RNC headquarters for fingerprinting as ordered by an Appearance Notice issued to the accused on August 30, 2014 for an unrelated matter. The accused has been charged for Fail to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court for this charge on November 4, 2014.
