RNC Corner Brook Div. Investigating Single Vehicle Collision

(CORNER BROOK, NL) – November 5, 2014 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary
(RNC) Corner Brook Region are investigating a single vehicle collision which occurred
on the Lewin Parkway.
This morning at approximately 6:30 a.m. RNC officers from Patrol Services, along with
Western Health Paramedics and the Corner Brook Fire Department, responded to a
single vehicle collision on the Lewin Parkway west of Corporal Pinksen Drive. A pickup
truck was travelling westbound when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. The
lone occupant, a 44 year old male resident of Frenchman’s Cove, sustained serious
injuries and was conveyed to Western Memorial Regional Hospital where he remains at
this time.
Road conditions at the time of the incident were wet with ice patches in some areas. The
RNC reminds motorists to adjust their driving behavior with the changing weather
conditions. Please reduce speed and ensure vehicles are equipped with appropriate
seasonal tires.
