Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Patrol Services in Corner Brook received 27 calls for service during the 24 hour period ending at 4:00 am today.
On August 15th, 2014 at approximately 1:30 p.m. RNC Patrol Services stopped a vehicle on O’Connell Drive after a patrol officer noticed the vehicle to have expired registration stickers on the licence plate. It was determined that a false sticker had been added to the vehicle licence plate and the vehicle did not have a valid insurance policy in effect. As a result, a male adult driver, a resident from Pasadena, NL was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Driving a vehicle with Registration Stickers other than issued and Operating a Vehicle without an Insurance Policy in Effect. The vehicle was seized by police and impounded.
On August 15th, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m. a RNC Patrol Officer noted two suspicious males in the area of Western Memorial Regional Hospital Parking Lot. Both men were stopped and questioned by police. As a result of this an 18 year old adult male of Corner Brook was arrested for breach of his court orders and held in custody.
