RNC CORNER BROOK REGION 24 HOUR MEDIA REPORT – JANUARY 13

rncmrThe Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook  received 39 calls for service for the 24 hour period ending on January 13, 2015 at 4 a.m.

 

 

On January 12, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint of mischief to property at a residence on West Valley Road. It was reported that the suspect had left prior to police arrival. Later that morning it was reported that the same suspect had returned at 9:30 a.m. and caused more damage to the property. As a result of an investigation, a 15 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with two counts of Mischief to Property. He attended Youth Court on Monday afternoon and was released to attend court at a later date.

On January 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a residential break and enter complaint on North Street. It was reported that the home was vacant for some time and it was believed that the incident may have occurred within a one week period. The matter remains under investigation.

On January 12, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection on O’Connell Drive and the Lewin Parkway. Both vehicles sustained moderate damages and no injuries were reported to police during the incident.

On January 12, 2015 at 6:10 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a break and enter complaint into a shed on a property on West Valley Road. This matter remains under investigation.

On January 12, 2015 at 7:15 p.m. RNC Patrol Services received a complaint of a two vehicle collision on Curling Street. Both vehicles sustained moderate damages and no injuries were reported to police during the incident. The matter remains under investigation.

 

On January 12, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. RNC Patrol Services received a complaint of theft from a business on Maple Valley Road. It was reported that a purs had been stolen. The matter remains under investigation.

 

On January 13, 2015 at 12:35 a.m. RNC Patrol Services detained an intoxicated adult male on Park Street. This male was detained under the Detention of Intoxicated Persons Act and held at the Corner Brook Detention Center until sober.

 

On January 13, 2015 at 2:25 a.m. RNC Patrol Services discovered an insecure premise at a commercial property on Mount Bernard Avenue. Police conducted a possible break and enter investigation into the matter. The RNC Police Services K-9 Unit attended the location and conducted a search of the premise.  The search did not locate any persons in the commercial building.
