RNC CORNER BROOK REGION 24 HOUR MEDIA REPORT – JANUARY 14

rncmrThe Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook  received 32 calls for service for the 24 hour period ending on January 14, 2015 at 4 a.m.

 

 

On January 13, 2015 at 9:10 a.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a two vehicle collision on West Valley Road. No injuries were reported to police and both vehicles sustained moderate damages.

On January 13, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. RNC Patrol Services, with the assistance from the Corner Brook Fire Department, responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of O’Connell Drive and Elizabeth Street. Two persons were reported to have sustained minor injuries and both vehicles sustained moderate damages. Matter remains under investigation.

On January 13, 2015 at 12:40  p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Country Road. No injuries were reported to police and both vehicles sustained moderate damages.

On January 13, 2015 at 2:35 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a three vehicle collision on Mount Bernard Avenue. No injuries were reported to police and all vehicles sustained moderate damages. The matter remains under investigation.

On January 13, 2015 at 4:25 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Confederation Drive near the Corner Brook Plaza entrance. No injuries were reported to police and both vehicles sustained moderate damages. Matter remains under investigation.

On January 13, 2015 at 5:50 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Elswick Road and O’Connell Drive. No injuries were reported to police and both vehicles sustained moderate damages.

On January 13, 2015 at 8:10 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Hillcrest Road. It was reported that one driver  sustained minor injuries and both vehicles sustained moderate damages. Matter remains under investigation.

On January 13, 2015 at 9:20 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint of theft at a residence on Reid Street. This matter remains under investigation.

On January 14, 2015 at 2:10 a.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a single vehicle collision on the Lewin Parkway in the area between Cpl. Pinksen Memorial Drive and Lundrigan Drive. It was reported that a vehicle lost control and collided into a snowbank. The vehicle did not sustain any damages and no injuries were reported to police. The driver(lone occupant) , a 54 year old male resident of Corner Brook, NL was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Driving while Blood-Alcohol Concentration exceeding 80 mg%. He was issued a 90 day driving suspension and he will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
