RNC Corner Brook Report (April 25, 2015)

Complaint of a hit and run collision with a parked unattended vehicle  in the Walmart parking lot.

RNC Patrol Services received a complaint from staff at Corner Brook Intermediate reporting at approximately 12 p.m. an adult male had allegedly uttered a threat to a male youth inside the school. As a result of an investigation, a 42 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats. He was later released on conditions to remain off school property and no contact with school staff. He will appear in court on June 16, 2015.

RNC Patrol Services received a complaint of a disorderly male at the human resources department at MUN – Grenfell Campus. The male, a 26 year male resident of Little Rapids, NL  was detained by Grenfell Campus Enforcement. The male was further detained under the Mental Health Care and Treatment Act by RNC and conveyed to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for assessment.

RNC received a complaint of a male youth assaulted in the Murphy Square area. Matter remains under investigation.

RNC received a complaint of Theft on St. John’s Avenue. Matter under investigation.

4:15 p.m. RNC received a complaint of an assault in progress on Regent Square. It was reported that a male had been assaulting a female inside a vehicle. It was reported that this assault continued near Lewin Parkway at Quarry Hill Road on the side of the road. The incident remains under investigation.

5:10 p.m. RNC received a complaint of a wandering 3 year old child on St. Mark’s Avenue without an adult present. The child’s home was later identified and the child was turned over to its mother. Matter remains under investigation.

At approximately 1:20 am, Patrol Services responded to a complaint of a male looking in the windows of a residence on Raymond Heights. Subject was gone on police arrival but a person of interest has been identified. Investigation is ongoing into this incident.
