RNC Corner Brook Report (June 30, 2015)

June 29, 2015 at 4:05 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint of theft. It was reported that staff at a business in the area of Mount Bernard Avenue observed a female steal items from the business. As a result, a 22 year old female resident of Stephenville, NL was charged with Theft Under $5000. She was later released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
On June 30, 2015 at 1:30 a.m. RNC Patrol Officers were patrolling the Mount Bernard Avenue area when they located a 17 year old male passed out on the side of the road. It was determined that the male was intoxicated by alcohol. It was further determined that the youth was subject to a court order not to consume alcohol. As a result, the male was conveyed to Western Memorial Regional Hospital for observation purposes and later held at the Deer Lake holding cells. He will appear in Youth Court later in August.
Throughout the night, RNC received two calls from the public reporting moose sightings within the City of Corner Brook on O’Connell Drive near Boone’s Road and the area of upper Country Road near Park Drive.
