RNC Report (May 22, 2015)

At 7:20 a.m. RNC received a report of a single vehicle collision on the North Shore Highway between Riverside Drive and Prince Edward Park. The vehicle left the road way and landed on its side causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle could not be immediately located. As a result, the RNC K-9 Unit was called out to search the nearby woods in attempt to locate. Throughout the investigation, the driver of the vehicle was located inside a home in Corner Brook. It was established that there was no injuries sustained to the driver during the incident.
One female adult resident of Corner Brook was arrested and detained under a Warrant, She was also charged with failing to appear in court and Br. of Probation. She attended court and was released.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, one female adult resident of Corner Brook was arrested for Theft under $ 5000.00 ( shoplifting) and Br. of Probation. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
On May 21, 2015 at 4:15 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a theft in progress at a business in the Mount Bernard Avenue area. As a result of an investigation, a 53 year old male resident of Corner Brook arrested and charged with theft under $ 5000.00 (shoplifting) and breach of an undertaking. He was detained to attend court on May 22, 2015.
At 9:30 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a disturbance inside a home in the Curling area of Corner Brook. It was reported that a 17 year old female had been assaulted by another occupant inside the home. As a result of an investigation, a 47 year old male was arrested and charged with Assault. He was later released to appear in Provincial Court in June 2015. Both subjects were known to each other and the victim did not sustain injuries from the incident.
