RNC Requesting Public Assistance in Hit and Run Investigation

(CORNER BROOK, NL) – December 8, 2014 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary
(RNC) Corner Brook Region is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a hit
and run collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
On Friday, December 6, 2014 at approximately 10:00 p.m. a 14 year old male was
struck by a vehicle while walking on Crestview Avenue in Corner Brook, NL. The vehicle
is described as a newer model, black, 4 door, Hyundai car with tinted windows. The
driver did not stop and provide assistance to the youth nor did the driver provide
information to police as required under the Highway Traffic Act. The youth sustained
minor injuries as a result of the incident.
RNC Patrol Services are continuing the investigation and are appealing to anyone who
may have witnessed the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at
