CFSEU-NL Make an Arrest in Drug Investigation

cfseu(ST. JOHN’S, NL) – December 19, 2014 – The Combined Forces Special

Enforcement Unit (CFSEU – NL) is an integrated investigative unit consisting of

members from both the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Royal

Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Newfoundland and Labrador .

On December 17, 2014, members of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement

Unit (CFSEU-NL) executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and

Substance Act (CDSA) in the east end of St. John’s, NL.

One male has been charged with multiple counts under Schedule I and Schedule

III of the CDSA. The types of drugs seized include; Marihuana, Ritalin, Morphine,

Oxycodone, Methadone, Clonazepam and Tamazepam. Also seized was a

quantity of cash, imitation firearms, mace, and other drug paraphernalia.

The accused male appeared in court on December 18, 2014 where he was

released on bail to with his next court appearance scheduled for January 30,
