City Crews Continuing to Concentrate Efforts on Winter Operations
Written by Administrator on April 3, 2015
City efforts are ongoing to clear city streets from snow and ice. The thaw-freeze cycle is creating potholes and ice ruts on municipal streets. The cooperation of the public is requested to assist City crews by complying with the overnight parking ban. During the daytime motorists should endeavour, where possible, to park vehicles off the road on residential streets, as on-street parking narrows the road and makes it impassable for equipment. Drivers are also encouraged to use extra caution when approaching plows and graders to avoid impeding winter operations. Cars parked on City streets makes winter operations more difficult and sometimes impossible.
City crews are devoting a lot of effort and resources to keep streets and sidewalks clear of snow and ice. The cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated to make winter driving and walking safe for everyone.
