National Junior Curling Championship. According to Mayor Charles Pender, the National Junior
Championships will maximize exposure of our community to a national and international audience and
we are very excited to be a sponsor of such a high profile event. The Championship will be featured
on TSN and will be distributed worldwide. I am quite confident our investment will result in significant
economic benefits and will create a lasting legacy for our City. These Championships will also be the
first national event hosted in the Civic Center since Council took over operations in September 2014.
“I would like to commend The Host Society who have done an exceptional job in the planning and
coordination of this event”, said Mayor Pender. “The Committee has been meticulous in their planning
leading up to the championships. A lot of detail has been dedicated to ensuring the quality of all the
facilities and developing a program to ensure a memorable and enjoyable visit for everyone involved.
We look forward to welcoming athletes, media, officials and guests to the 2015 M&M Meat Shops
National Junior Curling Championship and cheering on the curlers as they compete for the junior
national title. It will be an exciting week of curling and we hope everyone will come out and enjoy the

“The Host Society is delighted by the support shown by the City of Corner Brook in our hosting of the
2015 M&M Meat Shops National Junior Curling Championship. Without the support of the City, Council
and staff an event of this magnitude would not be possible. What better way to promote Corner Brook
as a first class sporting destination than host this great national event. As a Diamond Sponsor the City
of Corner Brook will see an amazing amount of media coverage culminating with the two semifinal
games and two final games being aired on national and international television”.
