CITY OF CORNER BROOK WATER OUTAGE, PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY AND ROAD CLOSURE OCTOBER 17, 2014

The City of Corner Brook wishes to advise residents and businesses that a water outage, precautionary boil water advisory and road closure has been scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2014 commencing at 9:00 p.m. The outage and road closure is expected to last for approximately 10-12 hours. This is necessary to make Capital Works improvements to the water distribution system.
Areas to be affected are as follows:
– O’Connell Drive #’s 396-398
– Sunnyslope Drive #’s 5 to 26
– Carberry’s Road #’s 22 to 42
– Silver Street #’s 4 to 28
– Snow Street
– Country Road # 238
In conjunction with the repairs, Sunnyslope Drive will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Carberry’s Road to the intersection of O’Connell Drive. The general motoring public is advised to use alternate routes.
Due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality in the systems, the boil water advisory is expected to remain in effect until further notice. You will be advised when the boil water advisory has been lifted. Residents can call the City of Corner Brook’s Water Information Line at 634-7711 or visit the City’s official website, www.cornerbrook.com, at any time to view current boil water advisories, water outages or road closures.
