Corner Brook RNC issue warning after sewing needle found in potatoes

On May 26, 2015 RNC Patrol Services received a complaint from a citizen of the Baie Verte Pennisula area reporting that a sewing needle had been found inside a bag of potatoes that he purchased. It was further reported that the bag of potatoes were purchased from a business within the City of Corner Brook on May 19, 2015.
The business where the item was purchased has been notified and the potatoes falling under the described packaging have been recalled. The RNC would like to advise the general public to check their purchased product of potatoes and inspect thoroughly. The brand name of the potatoes in question in Corner Brook is:
- “Farmer’s Market” Brand originating from the Maritime Provinces
- “Russet” 5 lb. / 10 lb. or 15 lb. bags
- the 5, 10 and 15 lb bag will have the code # containing “060-135” sequence
- the bag code may also include “11W or 12W” printed on bag packaging
