Homelessness is an unseen issue in Corner Brook.  Many individuals, including students, live with no permanent address.  They are forced to couch surf and seek out warm accommodations on a continual basis.  In an effort to raise awareness of this very serious problem we encourage you to come and SLEEP OUT on the streets with us Friday, October 10. Cash and food donations are very much appreciated for those who are unable to stay with us. Unused donations will go to support the Grenfell and Community Food Bank.

What participants ARE ABLE TO BRING:

*   One back pack with a change of clothes
*   Sleeping bag
*   Pillow
*   Water bottle
*   Journal
*   Pen/pencil
*   Toothbrush/toothpaste
Bar of soap/hand sanitizer

*   Money
*   Food
*   Cell phone
Cannot arrange ahead of time for people to bring you food

We will have a couch set up to represent the many hidden homeless in our area…those who are not actually living on the street but are “couch-surfing” from one house to another, but have no permanent address.
