Man Flees from Police in Curling

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region has arrested and charged a 24 year old male following an investigation into an incident which occurred in the Curling area.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at approximately 1:45 p.m. an officer from RNC Patrol Services conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Curling Street. Prior to the officer reaching the vehicle the driver accelerated away and was not pursued by police. The vehicle was located abandoned near the railway bed in Mount Moriah and was seized by police.

As a result of the investigation a 24 year old male resident of Corner Brook has been arrested and charged with flight from police and failing to comply with court orders. He was released from custody is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on November 24, 2015.
