Report of theft of tools from a trailer located on the Humber Ford construction site on Confederation Drive. Investigation ongoing.

At approximately 3:30 am Patrol Services responded to a complaint from a citizen who was inside the Tim Horton’s, Valley Mall location. She reported that when she returned to her vehicle there was a male inside it, heavily intoxicated. She did not know this person. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the 21 yr old male resident of Stephenville had no idea where he was and was looking for a place to sleep. No criminal offence occurred but due to the level of the males’ intoxication he was held in police custody until sober under the provisions of the Detention of Intoxicated Persons Act. He will be released in the morning when sober without charge.
