Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Patrol Services responded to 52 calls for service during the 24 hr period ending at 4:00 am today.

 At approximately 12:45 pm Patrol Services and Western Health paramedics responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Confederation Drive and the Corner Brook Plaza. The injuries sustained to a female in the collision were not serious and but damage was extensive. As a result of the investigation a 22 yr old male driver of one of the involved vehicles was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with making an improper left turn. He was issued a Summary Offence Ticket at the scene. Investigation is still ongoing.

  At 1:30 am Patrol Services were advised by a tip from the public that a 24 yr old male on an order from the Provincial Court not to be in a licensed establishment, was inside a local bar. With the assistance of the bar security, the male, a resident of Corner Brook, was arrested without incident. He is being held in police custody to appear in court in the morning.
