RNC Corner Brook Region Charge Male with Sexual Assault

(CORNER BROOK, NL) – November 13, 2014 – The Royal Newfoundland
Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region have arrested and charged an adult male in
relation to a sexual assault which occurred in the Curling area.
On Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m. officers from RNC
Patrol Services responded to a report of a sexual assault near a business in the Curling
area of the city. Through the course of the investigation it was determined a male made
unwanted sexual advances toward a 20 year old female. The victim and the accused are
not known to one another.
A 51 year old male was arrested and charged with sexual assault. He was released from
custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on December 16, 2014.
The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation. Anyone with
