RNC Corner Brook Region Respond to Three Vehicle Collision

rnc(CORNER BROOK, NL) – October 2, 2014 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region responded to a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles on O’Connell Drive earlier today.

This morning at approximately 11:45 a.m. officers with RNC Patrol Services and Forensics Identification Section attended a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Elswick Road and O’Connell Drive.

Through the course of the investigation it was determined that a compact pickup truck, east bound on Elswick Road, collided with a full size pickup truck traveling south on O’Connell Drive. The larger vehicle subsequently collided with another full size pickup truck parked in the driveway of an adjacent residence.

All three vehicles sustained significant damage however no injuries were reported at the time of the incident. The driver of the compact pickup truck was issued a summary offense ticket under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Traffic was disrupted as the RNC remained on scene until the vehicles were removed and traffic flow was returned to normal. The RNC would like to thank the motoring public for their patience during this time.
