A male, described as being in his mid-30’s with thin facial features, blonde hair and wearing a baseball hat, offered to provide transportation for a youth he did not know. The male was operating a recent model beige van with black piping or plates added to the rear bumper.

The RNC encourages the public to reinforce stranger safety messages with their children and ensure they understand the potential dangers of getting into a vehicle with a person they do not know.

The RNC is continuing its investigation into this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
