Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Patrol Services responded to 36 calls for service during the 24 hr period ending at 4:00 am today.

  • Report of a complaint of theft from a business in Murphy Square. Under investigation.
  • On February 4, 2015 at approximately 3:45 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Confederation Drive and the Lewin Parkway. 2 of the 3 vehicles involved sustained extensive damages. A male occupant from one of the vehicles involved sustained minor injuries. Matter remains under investigation.
  • On February 4, 2015 at approximately 5:45 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a disturbance in a home on West Valley Road. As a result of an investigation, a 16 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats, Assault and Breach of Probation. He was held in custody at Deer Lake RCMP Youth Cells and will appear in Youth Court on February 5, 2015.

The City of Corner Brook was busy last night with their snow clearing operations in anticipation of the forecasted heavy snowfall. As a result 13 tickets were issued to cars parked on the street which impedes these operations. The public is reminded to remove their vehicles from the city streets during the overnight hours so as not to impede the snow removal operation. Vehicles will be ticketed if found in violation.
